MOBILITY

0-6 MONTHS

In the pre-walking months, a lot can be done to improve a baby's kinesthetics. If you think about, the usual baby spends 6 or so months just lying down, doing very little. Day Care is notorious for wasting these early months, and we see that when we visit and all the pre-walkers are just lying around helpless. That situation is enormously frustrating for a baby - even more so than for adults, who enjoy their memories and imagination.

An early start is very satisfying for a baby, and learning to stand and crawl have been some of the best early bonding moments for fathers, who otherwise find it difficult to connect with very young children. This work is done two-on-one, with parent and baby learning together.

6-12 MONTHS

Once babies can crawl, their next priority is to walk. They are enormously interested in independent motion, but they do not yet appreciate the complexity of standing up. That is why we see such a distribution of months, with some infants walking at 10 months, while others still pram at 15 months. Much can be done to assist an infant to find balance and strength, and to prevent poor posture. This work is done two-on-one, with parent and infant learning together.

1- 1.5 YEARS

At this age, a toddler is walking about the house and continuing to develop balance, mobility, and "house smarts." Working with these ages opens up the possibility to train fine motor movements, hand-eye coordination, eye contact, and other invisible arts.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many children will be there in total?
  • We can accommodate a maximum of 5 children per day, at this time, with two carers on hand (both parents).
What ages are right for this program?
  • The program is suitable for elementary school children who can express their basic wishes in English, and who can manage short walks around the house and garden.
What benefits can I expect?
  • This part you will love. Because we believe children are insatiable learners, we give them tons of fun and easy things to do and to see. Your child will soak-up classic English programming, learn to pronounce words in English, and work together in groups. That said, there is time to rest when required, and our first priorities are harmony within the group and a true emotional connection to oneself. There is a high level of guidance and communication.
Can I join for just one day?
  • Our trial period of enrolment is one month, or 4 days. If your child is a good fit for the group, you can then book month-by-month.
